CreatorLingo is a Chrome extension that helps creators translate and paste YouTube Studio video titles and descriptions into localized title and description fields.

CreatorLingo is not an official Google or YouTube product.

1. Single Purpose

CreatorLingo’s single purpose is to help creators prepare localized YouTube Studio metadata. The extension works on studio.youtube.com and assists with detecting the currently open title and description fields, translating source metadata, and pasting the translated text into the current YouTube Studio input fields when the user clicks the relevant button.

CreatorLingo does not automatically save, publish, or submit changes in YouTube Studio. Users must review and save or publish changes themselves.

2. Information CreatorLingo Handles

CreatorLingo may read the following information from the YouTube Studio page currently open in the user’s browser:

• Video title text
• Video description text
• The visible source language and target language labels
• The current state of title and description input fields on the open YouTube Studio page

This information is considered website content. It may include unpublished or private video metadata if the user is editing such content in YouTube Studio.

CreatorLingo uses this information only to provide its user-facing feature: translating and pasting localized title and description text into YouTube Studio.

3. Information CreatorLingo Stores

CreatorLingo uses chrome.storage.local to store local UI preferences, such as:

• The selected display language
• The preferred target language
